Mahony's Lawyers is a well-established South Australian law firm with a strong focus on personal injury law and plaintiff litigation.

We are looking for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate Lawyer to join our personal injury team at our Salisbury office.

This is an opportunity for a lawyer who wants more than simply managing a large volume of files.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the law, wants to run interesting matters, deal directly with clients and barristers, develop their advocacy and litigation skills, and take genuine responsibility for their files.

The role

You will work primarily in personal injury litigation, acting for plaintiffs across a range of matters including:

- motor vehicle accident claims;
- workers' compensation matters;
- public liability claims;
- medical negligence;
- serious and catastrophic injury;
- psychiatric injury;
- disputed liability matters; and
- complex damages claims.

Depending on your experience, you will have responsibility for your own files and will be involved in all aspects of the litigation process, including client conferences, liability investigations, medical evidence, quantum assessment, negotiations, mediations and Court proceedings. You will have real responsibility and autonomy, while having the support of experienced practitioners when you need it.

What we are looking for

We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have:

- approximately 4+ years' post-admission experience, preferably in personal injury law;
- strong knowledge of South Australian personal injury legislation and litigation;
- excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- the ability to manage files independently;
- a genuine interest in advocacy and litigation;
- strong attention to detail;
- empathy and understanding when dealing with injured clients; and
- a desire to continue developing professionally.

Salary A competitive salary package will be negotiated based on experience and demonstrated capability.
