Gard Coatings is looking for an experienced epoxy flooring installer who’s ready to step into a role with more trust, responsibility and ownership.

If you know the trade, take pride in your work and are confident completing projects from start to finish, this could be a great fit.

We work across commercial units, workshops, warehouses and residential projects, mainly installing solid-colour epoxy systems and decorative flake floors. If you’ve worked with APC systems, even better.

The role

You’ll initially work alongside the owner across our installs, getting familiar with how we operate and the standard we expect.

From there, we’re looking for someone we can trust to take ownership of jobs — whether that’s completing a smaller project independently or helping run a larger installation with another team member alongside you.

This is still very much a hands-on role, covering the full installation process from floor preparation and grinding through to repairs, mixing, coating application and final finish.

What we’re looking for

Previous epoxy flooring experience is essential.

You’ll ideally have experience completing projects from start to finish and be confident working independently without needing someone standing over you.

Experience leading a small crew or taking responsibility for jobs will be highly regarded.

More than anything, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in their workmanship, communicates well,



looks after the gear and does things properly rather than cutting corners.

Experience with screeding, coving, concrete repairs, PU systems, line marking, protective coatings or similar work is also a bonus.

This role will suit you if

We generally start at 7:00am Monday to Friday, with overtime and occasional weekend work depending on project requirements. You’ll need a current driver’s licence, reliable transport to our Rockingham workshop, a White Card and full Australian working rights.
