About the role

Roesner and Hamilton (R&H;) Civil Contractors is seeking a reliable, organised, and hands-on Leading Hand to support the successful delivery of civil construction projects. This is an excellent prospect for an experienced civil construction professional who enjoys leading teams, maintaining high safety standards, and delivering quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Lead site crews and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to schedule.
- Oversee reinstatement of concrete footpaths, kerb and channel.
- Coordinate pit and conduit installations.
- Supervise installation of light pole and traffic signal footings.
- Work safely in and around live traffic environments.
- Promote and enforce a strong site safety culture.
- Monitor project quality, productivity, costs, and program performance.
- Assist in identifying and managing project variations.
- Liaise with client representatives, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
- Support project delivery in accordance with specifications and company standards.

About you

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in civil construction, ideally on Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and local council projects.
- Proven leadership experience supervising crews in a civil construction environment.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical,



solutions-focused approach and commitment to getting the job done right the first time.
- A current MR Driver Licence.
- A current White Card and relevant machinery licences/tickets.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Forklift, excavator, truck, or other machinery licences (highly regarded).
- Concreting experience (highly regarded).
