About the role

There are two sides to this job. On the tools, you're the Leading Hand — you lead the crew and set the standard of workmanship. Off the tools, you're the Site Supervisor — you own the program, the subbies, the safety and the quality. You'll work alongside and report directly to the owner. There's no layer in between. You'll have real input into how jobs are planned, sequenced and delivered.

Key responsibilities

- Site diaries — daily records of progress, weather, attendance, deliveries, site instructions and progress photos
- Safety overview — inductions, toolbox talks, SWMS checked before trades start, hazards addressed as they come up
- Trade coordination — calling up subbies ahead of time, confirming the preceding trade is complete, briefing each trade on scope and standard, and checking their work before they leave
- Site preparation — making sure each area is ready before a trade arrives: access, set-out, materials on hand
- A tidy site — clean, safe and presentable at all times, with waste managed and finishes protected
- Lead the crew and set the standard of workmanship
- Own the program, the subbies, the safety and the quality
- Ensure we achieve quality outcomes from our trades

About you

- 5+ years on custom, architectural or high-end residential projects




- A full range of hands-on experience — setting out and frame through to complex roofs, cladding, stairs, joinery interface and detailed finishing
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification
- Proven experience supervising a site — running a program and holding subbies to account
- A genuine eye for detail and pride in the finished product
- Confidence and maturity in front of clients, architects and certifiers
- White Card, driver's licence and own hand tools
- QBCC Site Supervisor licence is highly regarded, but not essential
- Working at Heights, EWP and First Aid tickets are well regarded
- Experience on coastal or sloping sites and with high-end finishes: stone, architectural concrete, bespoke joinery, complex glazing
