For the Lawyer Who Enjoys Projects, Contracts and Practical Problem-Solving You've worked around construction and project matters long enough to know what matters. You can identify risk quickly, navigate commercial issues and help stakeholders make informed decisions that keep projects moving.

This is an opportunity to become the dedicated construction legal resource for a diversified listed group, supporting a varied pipeline of development, infrastructure and capital works projects through a flexible consulting arrangement.

The Organisation A long-established listed group operating across logistics, hotels, property development and a substantial property portfolio. The business delivers commercially significant work across a diverse range of projects and operates to high governance standards.

The Role

Projects sit at the heart of this role. One day, you might be reviewing construction documentation for a hotel refurbishment; the next, advising on a mixed-use development, infrastructure upgrade or emerging marine project.

You'll work closely with development, facilities, hotel and project teams, reviewing and negotiating Australian Standard contracts,



preparing consultant agreements and helping stakeholders navigate contractual risk. The real value you bring is your ability to identify non-standard risk positions, explain the consequences clearly and find practical commercial solutions that keep projects moving. Where a matter becomes genuinely novel, contentious or dispute-related, external specialists are on hand, while ownership of the day-to-day work remains with you.

The Arrangement

This is a genuine consulting role with an anticipated commitment of 20 hours per week. There is flexibility regarding when work is performed, provided stakeholders are supported and urgent matters are addressed appropriately. Additional hours can be worked and billed separately.

Sound Like You?

You may be a Senior Associate, Special Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel or experienced Construction Lawyer with 12+ years' experience supporting construction and development projects. You'll be comfortable working with construction contracts, consultant agreements and project stakeholders, and enjoy providing commercially focused advice that helps projects progress.

Most importantly, you're practical, responsive and enjoy being close to the work rather than pursuing a traditional leadership or practice-building path.
