Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Educator to join our agile and growing Intensive Care Unit team. Working closely with the Nursing Unit Manager, you will identify, develop, implement and evaluate education programs that support clinical excellence and workforce capability within the ICU.

In this role, you will provide clinical teaching, coordinate orientation and competency-based learning programs, facilitate skill accreditation, and support the ongoing professional development of nursing staff and students.



You will foster a positive learning culture that promotes evidence-based practice and ensures staff are equipped to deliver high-quality critical care. The successful candidate will also contribute to the delivery of nursing education programs across the district.

To be successful in this position, you will have recent and extensive critical care nursing experience, and demonstrated education skills. Candidates with a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care and current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification are encouraged to apply. What you will bring to the role

- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications in critical care, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.




- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate high quality clinical education, including informal teaching, in‑service programs and competency assessments, to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing workforce.
- Proven commitment to fostering professional growth for self and others through purposeful engagement in education, mentorship and capability building initiatives, that strengthen workforce competence.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence‑based practice, continuous quality improvement and the maintenance of a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, feedback and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, support and engage staff in the clinical setting and work professionally in a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and record management systems.
