PX Resources is partnering with an established retail banking organisation to recruit a on senior Legal & Compliance professional.

This is an end to end role with no large teams or resourcing pools so the ideal candidate will need to be able to roll up their sleeves and get into the detail and delivery whilst also being able to engage at a senior level.

We’re particularly interested in legally qualified candidates who have developed genuine hands-on compliance experience within financial services, ideally in a retail banking environment.

Key points & responsibilities:

- Lean, hands on environment with the business going through ongoing maturity uplift in their risk and compliance function
- Taking the lead for compliance advisory including operational compliance and legal management including engaging with external legal
- Regulatory change and advisory
- AFCA, complaints and remediation ownership, investigations and recommendations
- Consumer compliance,



responsible lending, ePayments code, etc.
- Product and marketing compliance, disclosures advice
- Breaches, incidents and regulatory reporting

Candidate Profile:

- Legal qualifications highly desirable
- Demonstrated compliance experience within retail banking
- Hands-on and comfortable working in a lean environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Senior enough to exercise good judgement and engage confidently with executives

This would suit someone who still wants engaging, senior-level work but also values stability, autonomy and balance. Remuneration: Circa $200K + super
