Connek is seeking experienced licensed Electricians and Electrical Contractors to join one of Sydney’s largest Smart Meter Upgrade Projects.

This is a high-volume, long-term opportunity for experienced metering technicians looking for reliable Monday-to-Friday work, organised scheduling and strong earning potential.

With a significant pipeline of work supporting Australia’s ongoing smart meter rollout, you’ll have access to consistent jobs in your local area while our team manages the scheduling, customer bookings, materials and administration.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Completing smart meter replacements across residential properties
- Working within an allocated Sydney metro area
- Attending pre-scheduled customer appointments
- Completing installations safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards
- Completing Site Specific Risk Assessments (SSRAs)
- Uploading installation photos and required compliance documentation
- Using an iPad/mobile job management system to complete and submit work orders
- Providing professional and respectful customer service on site

Our model is simple: you focus on completing quality installations while we take care of the customers, scheduling, materials and administration. Essential Requirements To be considered, you must hold:

- Current NSW Electrical Licence




- Current NSW Electrical Contractor Licence
- Current Smart Metering Accreditation – mandatory
- UEEEL0013, UEENEEG171A or UEEEL0078

- Current ABN
- Public Liability Insurance – minimum $20 million
- Vehicle Insurance
- White Card
- Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel – UETTDRRF04
- CPR – HLTAID009
- Provide First Aid in an ESI Environment – UETTDRRF10 or UETTDRR10B
- Testing of Connections to Low Voltage Electricity Networks – UETTDRRF11A
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- Police Check issued within the last 6 months
- Reliable work vehicle
- Standard electrical hand tools
- Battery drill
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance and customer service

Please note: Current Smart Metering Accreditation is mandatory. Applicants who do not hold one of the required metering qualifications cannot be considered for this opportunity.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time subcontractor opportunity, with consistent work available Monday to Friday.

Jobs are grouped geographically wherever possible to reduce unnecessary travel, improve productivity and allow you to maximise the number of installations completed each day.
