Hercules Café in Ashfield is looking for reliable and passionate team members to join our team. We have two positions available: Line Chef and Barista.

About the role

Line Chef

- Prepare and cook food to café standards
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen
- Manage preparation, stock, and minimise food waste
- Work effectively with the café team during service

Barista

- Prepare and serve coffee and beverages to café standards
- Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and speed of service
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked coffee station
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and café procedures
- Work effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team

About you ?‍? Line Cook

- Has good cooking skills and follows instructions well
- Understands basic cooking techniques and can work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Follows food safety and hygiene standards
- Is reliable, positive and works well as part of a team
- Previous experience in a busy breakfast cafe is essential.





☕ Barista Minimum 2 years’ barista experience in a quality café required.

- Has strong coffee knowledge and understands espresso, grind size, extraction and milk texturing
- Values coffee quality while working efficiently in a busy setting
- Has good communication skills and is a genuine team player
- Has a positive attitude and takes pride in keeping the workspace clean and organized
- Is reliable, eager to learn and happy to develop skills in our specialty drinks
