2 x temporary Senior Advisors - Fair Trading Strata and Property Services
Grade: Clerk 9/10
Salary range: $133,348 - $146,945+ superannuation and leave loading
Duration: 2 x Temporary roles (Parental leave cover. Starting December and January (approximately)) A talent pool may be created from this recruitment to fill future ongoing or temporary opportunities.
Location: Parramatta or other NSW Fair Trading office location. Hybrid working arrangements available (2 - 3 day in office presence required)
Deliver High-Impact Strategy and Reform Projects
Are you an experienced project professional who combines strategic thinking with stakeholder engagement and communication skills?
Join the Strategy team in NSW Fair Trading's Strata and Property Services branch to lead complex reform projects that deliver innovative regulation and improved outcomes for strata communities and homeowners across NSW.
The Strategy team works directly with the Strata and Property Services Commissioner to deliver priority reform initiatives and inform executive decision-making in a fast-paced and changing environment.
What you’ll be doing
As Senior Advisor, you will lead complex projects and provide timely, practical strategic advice to inform delivery of major reform initiatives with a high degree of autonomy.
You will:
- Collaborate with policy, communications, engagement and project delivery teams across Fair Trading
- Facilitate productive discussions with stakeholders across industry and government to resolve issues and deliver outcomes
- Prepare briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence for stakeholders and senior decision makers
- Conduct research and analysis to identify risks and opportunities,
and identify creative solutions to complex problems
- Provide strategic advice directly to the Strata and Property Services Commissioner

About You
You are a proactive, strategic problem-solver who takes initiative and thrives in a dynamic environment.
You have:
- strong project management experience and a record of delivering complex initiatives end to end
- proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances
- strong influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
clear and persuasive verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in regulation, policy reform or other complex delivery environments will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of the strata and property services sector is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants who can demonstrate the core capabilities required for the role and are willing to build their sector knowledge on the job.

Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $133,348 base plus superannuation
A talent pool may be created as part of this recruitment process and will be valid for up to 18 months. The talent pool may be used to fill future ongoing or temporary vacancies of the same or similar role.
