Boilermaker / Fabricator – TIG Welding - Laser Welding n

Cheps Laser is growing, and we’re looking for a highly skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team.

n

This isn’t a production-line welding job.

n

You’ll be working across a wide variety of fabrication projects including 4x4 accessories & bullbars, earthmoving equipment components, laser-cut sheet metal assemblies and custom fabrication work using aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.

n

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can produce a high-quality finish and wants to continue developing their skills.

What you’ll be doing n

TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel

n
- n

MIG welding and general fabrication

n
- n

Fabricating from laser-cut and folded components

n
- n

Building bullbars and 4x4 accessories

n
- n

Fabricating earthmoving and industrial components

n
- n

Grinding, sanding and finishing welded assemblies

n
- n

Blending welds and surfaces to achieve a seamless finish ready for powder coating

n
- n

Reading drawings and working accurately to dimensions

n
- n

Completing one-off and small production fabrication jobs

n
- n

Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

n

What we’re looking for n

You’ll ideally be a qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator with robust fabrication skills and excellent attention to detail.

n

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who:

Is highly competent with TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel

n
- n

Produces clean, high-quality welds

n
- n

Understands how to finish and blend fabricated components properly

n
- n
