Classification: Health Professional Level 2 with a salary range of 99,432 to 111,229; per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

The Mental Health Clinicians are exciting roles responsible for providing high quality services to consumers experiencing mental health crisis presenting to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local Service.

As an Allied Health Professional, the Mental Health Clinician will draw on their discipline skills, engage with the consumers, other clinicians, the consumer's treatment team, Neami Lived Experience staff and family/friends/carers to provide high quality assessments and interventions aimed at improving wellbeing to support recovery and improving mental health outcomes for consumers accessing The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local Service. This work will focus on clinical assessment, development of appropriate clinical interventions and collaborative care planning.

What you will bring to the role





- Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or related
- Current full registration as an Enrolled Nurse/Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), OR
- Current full registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), OR
- Current full registration as a Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Ongoing compliance with CPD and professional registration requirements.
- Experience in mental health practice.
- Demonstrated ability to form and nurture partnerships with government and non-government mental health, emergency, and community service providers.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, demonstrate empathy and build trust.
- Solid capacity to engage effectively when working with discomfort, distress and people experiencing crisis.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing demands and exercise sound judgement.
- Experience in working as a member of a transdisciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation.
- Ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of a diverse range of people and identify changing needs within a group.
- Knowledge of trauma informed care.
- Strong computer literacy and written communication skills.
