Senior & Lead Software Engineers - C++/C# - Autonomous Mining

Build software that moves the world's mines. Here’s the challenge: a real-time platform that's been running mine sites for decades — coordinating trucks, shovels, drills and other equipment — now also has to operate autonomous trucks alongside human-driven vehicles.

It's running live at mine sites around the world, under high-availability contracts where downtime has real operational and financial consequences.

You can't simply take it offline to fix it. You can't experiment carelessly. These are safety-critical systems with physical consequences.

That's where you come in.

What you'll be doing:

- Diagnose and resolve complex, customer-impacting issues in a large, mature C++/C# codebase
- Lead technical investigations into difficult production problems, from initial diagnosis through containment, root cause and systemic resolution
- Design and implement robust solutions for highly available, real-time systems
- Participate in and lead Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs)
- Help evolve engineering and support practices from reactive problem-solving toward proactive identification and prevention
- Build tooling, instrumentation and processes that give teams better visibility into system health and performance
- Work across a broad technical stack, including C++ and C#, with increasing use of Python and Kubernetes
- Contribute to the integration of AI into engineering and support workflows where it can deliver genuine value
- For Lead-level engineers, provide technical leadership,



mentor other engineers and influence engineering practices and technical direction

What we're looking for:

We're interested in engineers at different stages of seniority, so you don't need to tick every box.

You might be a Senior Software Engineer who:

- Has strong commercial experience developing complex software systems
- Is comfortable working in C++ and/or C#
- Enjoys getting to the bottom of difficult technical problems
- Has experience with production systems where reliability and availability matter
- Wants to broaden their technical leadership and take on greater ownership

Or you might be a Technical Lead who:

- Has a strong software engineering background and remains hands-on
- Can take ownership of complex technical problems from investigation through to resolution
- Has experience leading engineers or influencing technical direction
- Is comfortable making decisions in complex, high-pressure environments
- Enjoys improving engineering practices, not just solving the immediate problem

Experience with Python, Kubernetes, distributed systems, real-time systems, mining technology or autonomous systems is valuable, but we're primarily interested in solid engineers who enjoy tackling genuinely difficult problems.
