Machine Operator – Sheet Metal Fabrication | Richlands Machine Operator | Sheet Metal | Laser / Press Brake | Full-Time

H People is partnering with a leading sheet metal manufacturer in Richlands to recruit an experienced Machine Operator for their growing production team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in sheet metal fabrication, machine operation or manufacturing who wants stable, ongoing work with a well-established business.

The Role As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating sheet metal machinery and ensuring products are manufactured safely, accurately and to specification.

You will be working with modern machinery including laser cutting machines, press brakes and purlin machines.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate sheet metal machinery, including laser cutters, press brakes and purlin machines

- Set up and adjust machinery according to engineering drawings and job specifications

- Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

- Monitor production and ensure products meet quality specifications

- Complete routine machine checks and basic maintenance

- Meet daily production targets and deadlines

- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised production environment

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Machine Operator





- Experience within sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing

- Experience operating laser cutters, press brakes or purlin machines highly regarded

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Strong attention to detail and quality

- Good mechanical aptitude

- Reliable attitude and strong work ethic

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Sheet Metal trade qualification is advantageous but not essential

Requirements

- Previous manufacturing or sheet metal experience

- Full Australian working rights

- Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting

- Ability to pass a functional medical and drug & alcohol test

- Strong commitment to workplace safety
