About the role The Maintenance Coordinator is a key site-based leadership role within our Timber operations, responsible for coordinating the safe, effective and timely delivery of day-to-day maintenance activities across our local sites.

As the day-to-day senior maintenance presence on site, you will take ownership of maintenance-day coordination – bringing together planned work, emerging priorities, internal trades, Lead Trades, external contractors and production requirements to ensure maintenance activities are appropriately planned, resourced and executed.

Working in partnership with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Lead Trades and production teams, and supported by our National Maintenance Manager, you will help translate maintenance plans into effective execution on the ground. This includes setting and adjusting daily priorities, coordinating resources and contractors, responding to breakdowns and ensuring the team has the information, materials, access and support required to complete work safely and effectively.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced tradesperson who combines strong technical capability with practical leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills. You will have genuine scope to influence maintenance performance, develop team capability and contribute to improvements in plant reliability and maintenance practices across our local Timber operations.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day planning, coordination and delivery of planned and unplanned maintenance activities across the site
- Coordinate daily work priorities and resources across internal trades, Lead Trades and external contractors, aligned with production requirements
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to ensure upcoming work is appropriately planned, resourced and ready for execution, including labour, parts, contractors, equipment and permits




- Coordinate breakdown response and emerging maintenance priorities, adjusting resources and schedules to support safe and timely plant recovery
- Provide frontline leadership and technical support to the maintenance team, including work allocation, troubleshooting, coaching and follow-up
- Champion safe maintenance practices, including effective pre-work risk assessment, isolations, permits and other required hazard controls
- Coordinate external maintenance contractors and specialist service providers, ensuring their work is effectively integrated with site maintenance activities
- Support preventative maintenance, shutdown planning and reliability improvements, including identifying recurring issues and opportunities to improve plant performance
- Ensure maintenance work, outstanding actions and equipment status are effectively communicated and accurately captured within the maintenance management system

About you You will be an experienced maintenance tradesperson who is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance priorities, coordinating multiple work fronts and providing practical leadership to others.

You will ideally bring

- A relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification
- Demonstrated maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, processing or fixed-plant environment
- Experience coordinating or leading maintenance trades, contractors and maintenance activities
- Strong understanding of planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance




- Ability to understand production requirements and effectively prioritise maintenance activities around operational needs
- Strong safety knowledge, including practical experience with isolations, permits and maintenance risk controls
- Robust fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Experience with computerised maintenance management systems, with MEX experience highly regarded
- Sound leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Post-trade qualifications in maintenance, supervision or advanced trade skills will be highly regarded
