Melocco: quarrying, stone processing and paving.

Our Adelaide factory processes natural stone for architectural and landscape projects across Australia. We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join our team and keep production running.

The role

You'll report to the Manager and be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of the machinery and equipment used in our processing operations. Your goal is to keep downtime to a minimum and production safe and continuous.

Key responsibilities

- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs on quarry machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions promptly
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment performance
- Inspect, service, and repair all equipment and plant mechanical systems
- Conduct alignment, lubrication, and component replacement as required




- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Manage spare parts requirements and maintenance costs
- Ensure work is completed within allocated budgets and timelines
- Comply with all site safety procedures and legislative requirements
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents

About you

- Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a maintenance fitter in manufacturing industry
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
- Current driver's license
- Forklift licence
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- High attention to detail and safety awareness
