SOILCO is seeking an experienced and driven Major Account Manager to expand our presence across major retail chains, nurseries, garden centres, and distribution partners. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional to drive revenue growth, build strategic customer relationships, and identify new market opportunities within the growing media sector.

The Role
Reporting into the Commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while growing and maintaining strategic customer relationships across key retail and wholesale markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across major retailers, nurseries, garden centres, and distributors.
- Drive growth of SOILCO's growing media products in both bagged and bulk formats.
- Support broader business development initiatives that contribute to SOILCO's strategic growth plans.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular engagement and proactive communication.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities for additional growth.
About You You are a motivated sales professional with a proven track record of delivering growth through new business development and account management.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management within a retail, horticultural, agricultural, landscaping, manufacturing, or related industry.
- A proven ability to generate current business opportunities and achieve revenue growth targets.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing key accounts and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical capability and confidence using CRM systems and sales data.
- A proactive and results-driven approach with strong organisational skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a broader team environment.
- Experience within the growing media, horticultural, landscaping, nursery, garden retail, organics, or agricultural sectors.
