Role Overview

AMA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to support the coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) at a mining operation in the Middlemount region .

This role will provide maintenance leadership and technical oversight across the CHPP, with responsibility for supporting safe and efficient maintenance execution, equipment reliability, plant availability, and shutdown performance. Working closely with site leadership, operations, planning, and maintenance teams, the position will contribute to the delivery of maintenance strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational outcomes aligned with broader business objectives.





About You The successful candidate will be an experienced maintenance leader with significant fixed plant experience and a demonstrated ability to deliver strong safety, reliability, and maintenance performance outcomes.

Key requirements include

- Extensive CHPP or fixed plant maintenance experience.
- Previous leadership experience in a Superintendent or senior maintenance role.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, execution, shutdowns, and reliability practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Relevant trade or engineering qualifications.
- Australian working rights.
