Maintenance Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

- Minimum Grade 12 with Mathematics is essential.
- Valid Driver license.
- Computer literate (MS Office (excel, word, outlook etc.)
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Maintenance Management experience.
- Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate (Red Seal)
- Experience with maintenance and operation of crushing and mobile plants.
- Legal/Operational compliance knowledge MHSA.
- Understanding safety protocols and mechanical basics is an advantage.
- Understanding safety protocols and mechanical basics is an advantage.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
- Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team workplace.
- Clear criminal record

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

- Enjoy safe work practices and compliance with all SHE and MHSA legislation.
- Pro-actively support and participate in safety, health and environmental initiatives.




- Oversee the overall functions of the mechanical and maintenance workshop.
- Maintain and ensure reliable operation of all assigned infrastructure, machinery and plants.
- Managing and developing the Maintenance staff.
- Coordinating maintenance activities and staff.
- Liaising with quarry managers.
- Supplier Management and Liaison
- Operating and administrating the computerized Maintenance System (On-key)
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.
- Manage and maintain tools.
- Maintain a well-disciplined and productive working environment.
- Planning and coordinating scheduled maintenance with relevant staff.
- Work overtime when required provided such a requirement is reasonable and compliant with the relevant legislation.
