As the Manager Aboriginal Kinship Care, you will lead the delivery of a state-wide culturally responsive Kinship Care program that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and carers. You will oversee service delivery, staff leadership, stakeholder engagement and program performance to ensure children remain safe, supported and connected to culture, family and community.

Who we are looking for:

- Lead and oversee the delivery of Aboriginal Kinship Care services across multiple locations.
- Manage referrals, assessments, training, advocacy and ongoing support services for kinship carers.
- Lead, coach and support a growing team to achieve service outcomes and contractual KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal communities, government agencies and sector partners.
- Drive family finding, cultural planning and connection to culture activities for Aboriginal children and young people.
- Monitor service quality, compliance, reporting requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide cultural leadership and guidance to staff, carers and stakeholders.




- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Aboriginal communities, cultures and the child protection system.
- Promote the values, vision and services of AFSS through professional and respectful engagement with families and community.

What you'll bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Social Sciences, Psychology or a related discipline.
- Experience working with Aboriginal children, families and communities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in child protection, family support, kinship care or related services.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, staff performance and program outcomes.

What you need (Compliance Requirements)

- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Social Sciences, Psychology or a related discipline.




- Current South Australian Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check - Obtained with the last 6 months
- Current Safe Environments for Children and Young People Certificate
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
