Executive Director, Quality & Improvement

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Quality and Improvement. This pivotal role is focused on leading and shaping organization-wide quality, safety, patient experience, innovation, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing executive leadership in these areas, developing and implementing quality and safety strategies, and ensuring the organization meets the highest standards of care.

Key responsibilities include strengthening the clinical governance framework, leading a system-wide approach to learning from incidents, and championing exceptional patient and consumer experiences. The role also involves overseeing quality data analytics, leading major improvement initiatives, and maintaining robust governance systems to meet accreditation and regulatory requirements.



The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and values-driven executive with a robust background in senior leadership within a complex healthcare environment.

They should have a deep understanding of the public healthcare systems, particularly in the relevant jurisdiction, and a proven track record in leading clinical governance, quality, safety, and improvement agendas. The role requires the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinicians, executives, government, and consumers, and to use data and insight to drive performance. A commitment to person-centered care, equity, ethical practice, and continuous improvement is essential.

A relevant tertiary qualification is required, with postgraduate qualifications being highly regarded.
