Marine Mechanic / Service Technician

Blakes Marine is a well-established family-owned marine business with over 35 years of experience. We are looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic / Service Technician to join our busy workshop team.

The Role

You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a range of marine vessels and outboard motors.

Your responsibilities will include

- Outboard servicing, repairs and maintenance
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
- Engine installations and rigging
- General marine mechanical repairs
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and inspections
- Fault finding using diagnostic equipment
- Completing work efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintaining accurate job cards and service records
- Working as part of a supportive workshop team

About You We are looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience as a Marine Mechanic




- Has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Has experience working with outboard motors
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Is reliable, organised and takes initiative
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Has a strong attention to detail
- Holds a current driver’s licence

Experience with Yamaha, Suzuki or other major outboard brands will be highly regarded. Why Join Blakes Marine?

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
