We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with an engineering trade background to join our stone fabrication business in Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving our stone-processing equipment, including CNC machines, bridge saws, waterjets and associated factory machinery.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Perform preventative maintenance and machinery servicing
- Repair CNC machines, bridge saws, waterjets and other factory equipment
- Replace bearings, pumps, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components
- Assist with machinery installation, calibration and upgrades
- Minimise downtime and keep accurate maintenance records
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Essential Requirements
- Relevant Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Engineering Trade qualification
- Previous experience working with stone-fabrication machinery
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems




- Ability to diagnose faults and work independently
- Positive problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Australian driver’s licence

Desirable Experience
- Experience with CNC stone-processing machinery
- Knowledge of bridge saws, waterjets and polishing equipment
- Basic electrical fault-finding skills
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience maintaining Italian stone machinery
