We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a portfolio of underground infrastructure projects at a major underground coal mining operation in Central Queensland.

This is a project-focused engineering position supporting the planning, scoping and delivery of electrical infrastructure works within an underground mining setting.

- Electrical engineering support for underground infrastructure projects

- Development and review of project scopes
n
- Preliminary engineering and technical assessments
n
- Supporting project planning and execution
n
- Review of electrical designs, specifications and technical documentation
n
- Identification of project requirements, constraints and interfaces
n
- Coordination with site operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors and project stakeholders
n
- Technical input into project risk, constructability and execution planning
n
- Supporting projects from early scoping through to implementation and handover
n

Experience & Background n

Candidates should have an Electrical Engineering background with relevant project or infrastructure experience.

n

Previous underground coal mining experience is preferred, particularly experience involving underground electrical and infrastructure systems.

n

Relevant exposure may include:

n

- Underground power distribution
n
- Conveyors and materials handling infrastructure
n
- Ventilation and surface fan infrastructure
n
- Development and longwall supporting infrastructure
n
- Electrical installations and upgrades
n
- Underground services and infrastructure projects
n
- Brownfield project delivery within operating mining environments
n

Candidates from other mining or heavy industrial project environments with strong electrical infrastructure experience will also be considered.

Location / Travel n

The position is FIFO from Brisbane, with flights, accommodation and paid travel provided.

n

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer who combines strong technical capability with practical project delivery experience and is comfortable working within an active mining environment.
