Description

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you'll be the technical backbone of the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance obligations and providing guidance on complex accounting matters.

You'll be heavily involved in month-end and year-end reporting cycles while also partnering with leaders across the organisation to support key business decisions.

- Owning the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports




- Maintaining balance sheet integrity and leading reconciliations
- Managing fixed asset and lease accounting registers
- Preparing complex journals and technical accounting adjustments
- Managing taxation compliance including BAS, FBT and income tax obligations
- Supporting automation initiatives and finance transformation projects

Profile

You'll ideally bring:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Big 4 or Mid-Tier Chartered background highly regarded, particularly where you've gained strong technical accounting, audit or financial reporting experience
- Several years' experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role
- Strong Australian financial reporting and statutory accounting experience
- Solid understanding of AASB accounting standards
- Experience preparing BAS, FBT and income tax returns
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
