We offer a range of tailored supports, including Mentoring, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Disability Support, Residential Care, Outdoor Mentorship and Adventure Activities to participants across South-East Queensland region.

About the Role n

Hypar are looking for exceptional mentors to assist our participants to achieve their goals through leading and mentoring, and building relationships based on HYPAR’s core values.

n

Everyday can be a little different, but here at Hypar the role of a mentor includes:

n

n
- Supporting people with complex behaviours, psychosocial disability and mental health needs.
n
- Implementing allied health recommendations and evidence-informed strategies.
n
- Maintaining safe, skilled and consistent support in high-pressure situations.
n
- Completing high-quality progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation.
n
- Working collaboratively with families, allied health professionals and other stakeholders..
n

n

Positions are available throughout the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast regions.

About You n

The ideal candidate will have:

n

n
- Experience supporting people with complex disability and behaviours of concern, psychosocial disability and mental health needs and forensic or justice settings is highly regarded.
n
- Strong emotional intelligence, communication skills and professional boundaries.
n
- The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
n




- Strong professional boundaries and the understanding of their importance.
n
- Male mentors are strongly encouraged to apply.
n
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, Quality and Safeguarding requirements and reasonable and necessary supports is highly regarded.
n

You will also be required to have or be willing to obtain :

n

n
- Disability Support Work or industry relevant experience - Highly Regarded
n
- Paid Blue Card
n
- Paid NDIS Disability Worker Screening (or valid yellow card)
n
- Child Safety background screening check (LCS2)
n
- Have access to a registered vehicle and full comprehensive insurance
n
- Open QLD Drivers Licence (International and P-Plate Licences will not be accepted)
n
- A working android or apple smartphone
n
