About the Practice and the role
This rare position has become available to join Dr Kate Hale in her busy and dynamic Paediatric practice centrally located at Crow’s Nest. You will join our supportive team and contribute to our strong focus on providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical care.
This position requires a candidate with exceptional customer service and IT skills, who enjoys multi-tasking, shows professionalism and enjoys reception.
This position will initially be one day per week, working Fridays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. From 2027, the role will increase to two days per week, working Thursdays 9:00am to 6:00pm and Fridays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The ability to provide occasional cover for annual or sick leave would be a great advantage.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk area. You will play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience and maintaining efficient office procedures.
This position will see you responsible for
- The effective delivery of front desk duties in a busy practice
- Meeting and greeting patients
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Managing and scheduling appointments
- Patient billing,
receipting and accounts receivable.
- Medicare transmission
- End of day reconciliation
- Maintaining patient records
- Related administrative and ad hoc PA duties
- Liaising closely with Dr Hale and other staff to ensure effective communication and efficient running of the practice
About you The successful candidate will have experience as a receptionist or secretary in a medical practice. They will also have:
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate articulately both verbally and in written communication.
Robust proficiency with Microsoft office and the ability to adapt to new systems quickly
Able to work with changing priorities and circumstances
Ability to provide an exceptional service
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritise workload.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your day-to-day work An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Previous use of Gentu practice management systems and proficient ability with all-round computer skills including Microsoft Office is preferred .
