Where you'll be working
Join the Granville Assertive Response Team (GART) within Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), providing intensive community-based mental health care across culturally diverse communities in Western Sydney. You'll work from a dedicated, well-connected Granville hub as part of a respectful and supportive multidisciplinary team committed to innovation, recovery and person-centred care.
- Be part of WSLHD Mental Health Services supporting communities across Auburn, Blacktown and the wider Greater Western region.
- Work from Granville, a commuter-friendly location within a short walk of train services, with free street parking available.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals, consumers, carers, GPs, NGOs and community agencies.
- Contribute to a culture that values empowerment, inclusion, continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Work Monday to Sunday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, from October 2026.
What you'll be doing
As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll provide evidence-based, intensive outreach and assertive case management to people experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, supporting recovery and helping consumers maintain their independence in the community.
- Provide comprehensive mental health assessment, clinical intervention,
intensive outreach and ongoing care coordination.
- Develop collaborative, individualised care plans with consumers, carers and other care providers, focused on recovery and meaningful goals.
- Build robust therapeutic relationships and connect consumers with health, social, community and non-government support services.
- Advocate for consumer rights, choice and self-determination while promoting empowerment, self-advocacy and optimal wellbeing.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, clinical supervision, education, quality improvement and service development initiatives.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse
- Registration: Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Selection Criteria:
1.
Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.
2. Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice
3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
4. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007
5. Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
6. Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.
7. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
