Armesto's Transport Pty Ltd has a vacancy for a Metal Fabricator and Welder at their business. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications:Fabricators must understand technical drawings to accurately prepare and assemble metal parts.
- Cutting, shaping, and bending metal:Using hand and machine tools, they prepare metal stock according to required dimensions and shapes.
- Welding:They use various welding techniques (e.g., stick welding, MIG welding, TIG welding) to join metal pieces, ensuring strong and durable seams.
- Joining metal parts:Fabricators may also use bolting, riveting, or other methods to assemble metal structures.
- Quality control:They inspect welds and finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Using hand and power tools:Fabricators are proficient in using various tools, including blowtorches, shears, gauges, nail sets, power saws, and workshop presses.
- Safety:They follow safety procedures, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work setting.

Skills and Abilities:

- Welding skills: Expertise in various welding techniques is crucial.
- Metal fabrication knowledge: Understanding of metal properties, cutting, shaping,



and joining methods is essential.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation: Accurately understanding technical drawings is necessary.
- Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues during fabrication and welding is important.
- Attention to detail: Fabricators work with precision and accuracy.
- Physical ability: The job involves lifting, bending, and using hand tools.

Applicant must have their own tools. To qualify this position, you will have

· AQF Certificate III 322313 322311 for or equivalent or relevant experience

Remuneration/Salary

$76,5150.00 to $83,000.00 per annum – example

Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
