We are seeking a skilled and reliable Metal Fabricator to join our spiral staircase manufacturing and installation team.

3 or more years experience in the industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, welding, and finishing metal components used in custom spiral staircases, railings, and related structures.

This role requires solid attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to read and work from technical drawings and site measurements. The ideal candidate will take pride in producing high-quality workmanship and finished products to a professional standard.

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, plans and measurements for spiral stairs, handrails and balustrades.

- Measure, mark, cut, drill and prepare steel components using grinders, saws, drills and other fabrication equipment.
- Fabricate spiral staircase components including centre posts, stair treads, stringers, landings, handrails, balustrades and brackets.
- Perform MIG welding and other welding processes as required to join steel components.
- Fit, tack and assemble components while checking dimensions, angles, levels and alignment against drawings.




- Grind and clean welds and prepare fabricated components for primer, painting or other finishes.
- Assemble spiral staircases in the workshop and make adjustments where required to achieve correct fit and finish.
- Attend sites to install staircases, handrails and balustrades, including positioning, levelling, fixing and final adjustment.
- Use hand and power tools such as angle grinders, drills, impact drivers and measuring equipment.
- Identify fabrication or installation problems and carry out modifications or repairs where required.
- Inspect completed work for weld quality, dimensions, stability and overall workmanship.
- Follow workplace WHS procedures, SWMS, PPE requirements and safe manual-handling practices.
- Maintain fabrication tools, equipment and a clean, safe workshop/site area.
- Work with other fabricators and installers to complete projects according to drawings, specifications and deadlines.

Pay: $58,202.26 – $94,476.16 per year
