About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Methods Engineer to join our Manufacturing team based in Prestons, NSW. Reporting to the Methods Manager, this role is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting industrialisation projects, optimising manufacturing processes, and improving equipment performance across our production operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about Lean Manufacturing, automation, operational excellence and delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity and cost.

You'll work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, R&D; and Industrialisation teams to support new product introductions, equipment upgrades, automation projects and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Key responsibilities

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Lead Lean Manufacturing projects including Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Kanban and Standard Work
- Analyse production processes and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiency
- Measure cycle times and maintain manufacturing data, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Bills of Operations
- Support new product introductions and manufacturing readiness activities
- Lead productivity improvement and cost reduction projects
- Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning and optimisation
- Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and manufacturing performance
- Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Support automation, digitalisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Qualifications in Manufacturing,



Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering will be highly regarded
- Experience in a manufacturing environment involving production equipment, assembly systems or automation
- Experience in a Methods Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar role
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience analysing manufacturing processes and implementing productivity improvements
- Knowledge of equipment reliability, preventative maintenance and operational performance metrics
- Experience supporting equipment installations, commissioning or industrialisation projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
