Position: Building Trades, Trades Assistants & Apprentices – Carpentry, Painting, Gyprocking, Tiling & Roofing

Location: Lonsdale, SA

RJE Global is expanding its workforce for the construction of large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind farms, and critical resource and power infrastructure projects nationwide. Our Lonsdale facility manufactures and builds transportable switch rooms and other operations and maintenance buildings for the renewable energy, defence, and infrastructure sectors, using steel-framed, reinforced concrete panel construction with internal wall linings and finished flooring.

We're seeking motivated, safety-focused building trades professionals, trades assistants, and apprentices across a range of disciplines to join our growing team and make a meaningful impact across multiple landmark projects.

Trades We're Looking For

We welcome applications from qualified tradespeople, trades assistants, and apprentices in any of the following areas:

- Carpentry
- Painting & Decorating
- Gyprocking / Wall & Ceiling Lining
- Tiling
- Roofing
- Trades Assistants (any building trade background)

Apprenticeship opportunities are available for the right candidates looking to complete or begin a trade qualification.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble and construct transportable switchrooms, substation buildings, and steel-framed structures




- Erect tilt-up and reinforced concrete panels
- Install internal wall linings (gyprock/plasterboard) and complete finishing, including stopping and sanding
- Install wall and floor tiling
- Install flooring and complete internal finishes
- Manufacture and install windows and doors
- Carry out heavy and light framing using both steel and timber
- Roofing and guttering installation and repairs
- Prepare surfaces and apply protective and decorative coatings
- Perform general construction, labouring, and site building maintenance tasks
- Safely operate, maintain, and use hand tools, small plant and equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) management plan requirements and standards
- Review, contribute to, and comply with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- Participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox talks

Essential Requirements

- A trade qualification (or currently completing an apprenticeship) in Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Gyprocking, Tiling, Roofing, or a related building trade – OR relevant trades assistant experience in a building/construction workplace
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing

Highly Regarded





- Leading hand or supervisory experience
- Experience across more than one building trade
- High Risk Work Licence (WP, CN, DG, RB, LF, SB)
- Work Safely at Heights
