APS6 Business Analyst – ITSM / Asset & Configuration Management n

$85 – $95 per hour, inc Super | Federal Government

Canberra Consulting is seeking an experienced APS6 Business Analyst to support a Federal Government Agencywithin its Digital function.

n

This role will work closely with the Service Management Office and Digital stakeholders to analyse and improve business processes and support the migration of software and business-system asset information into the Agency'sIT Service Management (ITSM) platform. The work will also contribute to improvements in IT processes and the Commission's Essential Eight security maturity.
n The opportunityYou will undertake hands-on business and systems analysis across an IT service management environment, working with business stakeholders, technical SMEs and project teams.

Key responsibilities will include: n

- Conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops to establish current and future-state requirements.
n
- Analyse existing business and system processes to identify opportunities, issues and risks.
n
- Gather, analyse and document detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements.
n
- Develop process maps, specifications, recommendations and supporting documentation.
n
- Design future-state processes considering compliance requirements, system capabilities and productive process methodologies.
n




- Support IT Asset and Configuration Management process improvement and redesign.
n
- Assist with the alignment of ITIL processes and ITSM platforms.
n
- Undertake data research, extraction, analysis and presentation.
n
- Develop human and system process workflows.
n
- Provide business analysis support to project managers and contribute to successful project delivery. APS6 Business Analyst PD

What we're looking forWe are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated experience in: n

n
- Business requirements gathering and systems analysis.
n
- IT Asset Management and Configuration Management.
n
- ITSM process improvement and redesign.
n
- ITIL-aligned processes and ITSM platforms, such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or similar.
n
- CMDB population, data integrity and lifecycle management.
n
- Data analysis and information management.
n
- Facilitating workshops and engaging effectively with technical SMEs and senior stakeholders.
n
- Planning and leading workstreams within systems implementation projects.
n
- Working independently in changing or ambiguous environments.
n
- Lean methodology or process improvement environments.
n
