Straw Services Australia is currently looking for candidates to fill the position of: Leading Hand – Operations – Goulburn NSW

n

Possibility of 4-day week or rolling fortnight with flexi days

n

Out of town work (Bombala & Tumbarumba NSW) required for approximately 4 weeks per year as required – all accommodation and travel expenses paid for

Responsibilities nn
- Leading a team of 2-4 staff from our Goulburn facility
n
- Safe operation of plant and machinery
n
- Organise, deliver, and spread recent litter to poultry farms
n




- Maintenance and basic servicing of plant and equipment
n
- Truck driving – loading and unloading trucks, washing and maintenance
n
- Work in static baling facility
n
- General property and farm maintenance and duties (fencing, livestock, spraying, moving)
n
- Basic administrative tasks as required
n

About you nn
- HC License – desirable. HC license training will be considered for right candidate
n
- Forklift License – desirable. Forklift license training will be considered for right candidate
n
- Thorough and conscientious
n
- Upholds high standards of work and cleanliness
n
- Experience operating machinery
n
- Ability to start between 5:00am – 6:00am when required
n
- Reliable and responsible
n
- Team player
n
- Mechanical aptitude
n
- Ability to work unsupervised and lead a small team
n
- Work in a safe manner always

- Comfortable working in all weather conditions

- Ability to work in the intensive animal industry
