About the role

Resilient Life Care is looking for a warm, patient Support Worker to join a small team supporting one of our aged care participants in Kilsyth. He enjoys a good book and a slow, gentle walk, and he'd love to work with someone calm and easy-going who can help him start each day well.

What you'll be doing

- Helping with his morning routine
- Preparing breakfast together
- Prompting him to take his morning medication
- Supporting his physiotherapy exercises
- Keeping him company and joining him for gentle walks and community outings




- Writing explicit shift notes and keeping in touch with your supervisor

About you

- Knowledge and experience in aged care, psychosocial and mental health support
- Confidence using a mental-health-informed, person-centred approach
- Valuable communication skills, and able to report clearly to your supervisor
- A patient, kind and easygoing nature
- The participant has asked for a female support worker

Required qualifications and checks

- Certificate IV in Disability, Aged Care or Mental Health
- First Aid and CPR certificate (current)
- Medication competency
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current driver's licence and your own reliable, insured vehicle
- Knowledge of dementia and associated psychosocial mental health conditions

Pay: $34.00 – $38.00 per hour
