We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team on an initial 2-month contract, based in Murdoch with a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Cisco networking and network security technologies, with particular expertise in Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA), Cisco Firepower Threat Defence (FTD), and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

This role will suit an experienced Engineer who can quickly understand an existing enterprise environment, provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot complex issues and contribute to network and security engineering activities.

Duties of the role

- Provide hands-on network and network security engineering support.
- Configure, maintain, troubleshoot and optimise Cisco networking and security technologies.
- Support and administer Cisco SDA environments.
- Configure, manage and troubleshoot Cisco FTD firewalls.
- Configure and support Cisco ISE, including authentication, authorisation and network access control.
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues and provide timely resolution.




- Assist with network and security changes, implementations and technical improvements.
- Work collaboratively with internal technology teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure network and security configurations align with established technical and security standards.
- Produce and maintain relevant technical documentation as required.

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on expertise with: Cisco SDA, Cisco Firepower Threat Defence (FTD) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking and network security principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly become productive within an existing technical setting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a broader technical team.
