About the Role

RMSI is looking for an experienced Network Designer to design end-to-end telecom networks across IP/MPLS, Fibre, Transmission and Radio domains. The role involves translating customer requirements into buildable, cost-effective and standards-compliant designs and supporting delivery through the complete order lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop end-to-end network designs, including HLD, LLD, schematics, BOMs and configuration templates.
- Design and validate solutions across IP/MPLS, Fibre, DWDM/OTN/SDH and Radio networks.
- Assess network capacity, inventory, routing and infrastructure availability.
- Ensure designs meet engineering standards, customer SLAs, resilience and diversity requirements.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical support to Provisioning, Build, CAD and Project teams.
- Troubleshoot design issues during implementation and update designs where required.
- Maintain accurate network design and as-built records.
- Support design standards, process improvements and mentoring of junior designers.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–8+ years of network design experience in a telecom/service provider setting.
- Strong experience with Cisco,



Juniper or Nokia platforms.
- Strong Cisco Routing & Switching knowledge – IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, Catalyst, Nexus, ASR/NCS.
- Strong understanding of IP/MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP, RSVP-TE, L2VPN/L3VPN and QoS.
- Experience in DWDM, OTN and/or SDH design.
- Fibre network design experience, including ODF/FDH, fibre selection and optical loss budgets.
- Knowledge of A/B path diversity and network resilience.
- Exposure to microwave, 4G/5G transport, fronthaul/backhaul and voice transport technologies.
- Working knowledge of network/design systems such as Netcracker, MapBlaster, VMR, Design Investigator or Spatial Web.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in onshore/offshore delivery models.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
