CyBearTrack.com.au is an Australian cyber-intelligence and blockchain-forensics firm. We help victims of fraud and cybercrime understand what happened to them, trace stolen cryptocurrency on-chain, identify the regulated exchanges and parties that handled the funds, and support disclosure, freezing and recovery through the appropriate legal and law-enforcement channels. We are a member of the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Cyber Security Partnership Program and work alongside specialist technical analysis partners.

As we scale, we are strengthening our board and our investigative governance with an experienced, licensed private investigator who can serve as a Non-Executive Director .

The Role

This is a non-executive, part time board appointment combining independent governance with licensed investigative oversight. You will not run day-to-day operations; instead you will provide experienced, independent direction, probity and licensed credibility to the business and its investigative work.

What you'll do

- Serve as an independent Non-Executive Director, contributing to governance, strategy, risk and integrity at board level.
- Provide licensed private-investigator oversight of the firm's investigative activities, helping ensure work is conducted lawfully, ethically and to a professional standard.
- Advise on investigative methodology, evidence handling, and chain-of-custody best practice.
- Support compliance with investigative licensing, privacy and regulatory obligations relevant to the firm's work.




- Lend experience to law-enforcement and regulator liaison where appropriate.
- Act as a trusted sounding board for the executive team on sensitive matters.

What we're looking for Essential

- A current, valid private investigator (or private inquiry agent) licence in any jurisdiction — Australian state licensing (e.g. NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, SA) or an equivalent recognised licence in another country.
- Demonstrable experience in investigations — private investigation, fraud, financial crime, law enforcement, intelligence or a related field.
- Strong integrity, sound judgement, and a clean professional and probity record.
- An understanding of corporate governance and the responsibilities of a company director.

Highly regarded

- Experience in financial crime, scams, cryptocurrency, cyber or fraud recovery.
- A background in law enforcement, regulatory or intelligence agencies.

- Existing professional networks across investigations, legal, banking or exchange sectors.
- Prior board or advisory experience.
