Nurse Practitioner – Brisbane Street Family Practice, Jimboomba

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner looking for autonomy, variety and the chance to make a real impact?

Brisbane Street Family Practice is a new general practice opening in Jimboomba, one of South East Queensland's fastest-growing communities. We're looking for a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our founding team and help shape high-quality, patient-centred primary care from day one.

About the role

You'll work within your endorsed scope of practice alongside our GPs and nursing team, combining advanced clinical care with clinical leadership. Your day-to-day work will include:

- Comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic presentations
- Prescribing (including PBS) and ordering investigations within scope
- Chronic disease management, care plans and health assessments
- Preventative health, immunisation and patient education
- Women's health, including Mirena/IUD and Implanon services (where credentialed)
- Visits to residential aged care facilities (RACFs)
- Mental health assessment and management within scope
- Wound care and treatment room oversight
- Supervising, mentoring and educating nursing staff
- Helping build clinical policies, workflows and nurse-led services
- Supporting accreditation, clinical governance and quality improvement





About you

Essential

- Current AHPRA registration with NMBA endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
- A Medicare provider number and PBS prescribing rights, or eligibility for both
- Primary health care or general practice experience
- Current professional indemnity insurance and CPR certification
- A current driver's licence (for RACF visits)

Highly regarded:
- Aged care or RACF experience
- Women's health and LARC credentialing
- Experience in clinical leadership or setting up services
- Experience with Best Practice or MedicalDirector

You're confident working autonomously, you communicate clearly with patients and colleagues, and you're excited by the chance to build something recent. What we offer
