Lead acute care. Lead your team. Take the next step in your nursing career as a Nurse Unit Manager - Acute, providing clinical and operational leadership across an acute care service.
You'll lead the delivery of safe, high-quality, person and family-centred care, ensuring continuity of care and effective multidisciplinary teamwork. You'll support staff performance and development, use contemporary evidence to inform practice, and contribute to quality improvement, education, research and changes to models of care.
About You
We're looking for an experienced nurse/midwife with:
- Current or eligible registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current or eligible practicing certificate.
- At least 3 years' post-registration nursing and/or midwifery experience.
- Demonstrated management and leadership experience, including staff supervision and development.
- Robust communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and delivering person and family-centred care.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and contribute to quality improvement.
- Experience supervising students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses and/or midwives.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other relevant computer systems.
