- Maintain and repair heavy vehicles,plant and waste collection equipment to ensure safe, reliable and compliantfleet operations.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical andhydraulic faults, completing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs tominimise service disruptions.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, safetychecks and compliance activities while maintaining accurate service records andcollaborating with drivers, operators and suppliers

You'll get to work on and with modern fleet and equipment, in a supotive team where you can learn and grow in a role that contributes to public safety and the delivery of essential services.

What you'll bring

We’re looking for a qualified and capable mechanic whoenjoys working across a diverse fleet and takes pride in delivering reliable,high-quality maintenance and repairs. You’ll bring strong technical skills,solid post-trade experience and a practical approach to problem-solving, alongwith the ability to work safely and effectively in a busy workshop environment.





- A Certificate of Proficiency as a Motor Mechanic(light or heavy stream), with heavy vehicle qualification preferred.
- Extensive post-qualification experiencemaintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, plant and equipment—ideally in alocal government or similar fleet environment.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills acrossmechanical systems, with knowledge of hydraulics and electrical fault finding,are highly regarded.
- A Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence would beadvantageous.

- CurrentVictorian Drivers Licence
- HeavyRigid (HR) Vehicle driver's licence (advantageous)
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- FunctionalCapacity Assessment

- Salary$96,848.96 per annumplus super
