About the Role

We're seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our allied health team in a full-time, permanent role, delivering assessment and therapy to NDIS participants in their homes and communities across Newcastle and the Hunter. You'll work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, based from our Charlestown office, with work from home available where agreed. This is a community-based role (no facility or ward work).

- A clear, achievable caseload: 25 billable hours per week, with travel, supervision, meetings and CPD built into the rest of your day

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct occupational therapy assessments, including functional capacity, home and workplace, and assistive technology assessments
- Write explicit,



evidence-based reports and recommendations that meet NDIA and funder requirements
- Plan, deliver and review therapeutic interventions against participant goals
- Prescribe and trial assistive technology and equipment, and recommend home modifications where indicated
- Respond promptly to new referrals, making first contact with the participant and their support coordinator within 24 hours of allocation
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators and our multidisciplinary team, including behaviour support, nursing and support work
- Identify, report and respond to incidents, risks and safeguarding concerns in line with NDIS requirements
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records in our CRM
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings and continuing professional development

Essential Requirements

- Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy
- Current general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (clearance)
- Working with Children Check (where applicable)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion
- Full, unrestricted Australian driver's licence
- Robust report writing and clinical documentation skills
