About the Role

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will report to the Care Services Manager and work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to support clients with their daily living, independence and rehabilitation needs.

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable candidate who is dedicated to improving the lives of our clients. This is a casual role.

Location: Perth, WA 6000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist Occupational Therapists with implementing individualised therapy and rehabilitation programs.
- Support clients with activities designed to improve their independence and daily living skills.
- Assist clients with mobility, functional activities and therapeutic exercises as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Support clients in developing and maintaining skills required for everyday activities.
- Assist with the use of prescribed therapy equipment and adaptive aids.
- Monitor and report clients' progress,



concerns or changes in their condition to the Occupational Therapist or Care Services Manager.
- Encourage clients to participate in activities that promote physical, social and emotional wellbeing.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: Comply with all Work Health and Safety legislation requirements

Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe working environment

Report any hazards or incidents immediately to management

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Certificate III/IV in Allied health Assistance

Previous experience in aged care, disability, rehabilitation or community settings is highly desirable.

Solid communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Good clinical reasoning, assessment and problem-solving skills.

Ability to complete clear and accurate clinical documentation.

Current Australian working rights.

Current First Aid certificate

Valid National Police Clearance

Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
