Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major new hyperscale data centre campus at Kogan in Queensland. This is an opportunity to help establish the operating organisation, systems and service culture for a critical new digital infrastructure asset from the ground up.

The role The Operational Contracts Manager will lead the procurement, establishment and ongoing management of the contracts that support site operations. Working across Operations, Design, Development, Legal and Finance, you will translate operational requirements into robust commercial arrangements and ensure vendors deliver against agreed service, cost and performance outcomes.

This is an prospect to build the operational contracting framework for a new campus rather than inherit an established portfolio. You will combine market engagement and tendering with hands-on contract governance, vendor management, performance reporting and continuous improvement.

What you will lead

- Market due diligence and tender processes for operational services.
- Contract establishment, documentation, compliance and SLA governance.




- Vendor KPIs, performance reviews, risk assessments and corrective actions.
- Commercial and financial performance across the operational contract portfolio.
- Cost and service improvement opportunities supported by clear data and market insight.
- Cross-functional alignment between operational needs, contract terms and customer requirements.

What you will bring You will be an experienced contracts, procurement or vendor-management professional who has worked within a complex operational environment. Experience with facilities, infrastructure, data centres, industrial services, mining, utilities or another asset-intensive sector would translate well.

- At least five years of relevant contract, procurement or vendor-management experience.
- Experience running tenders and managing operational service contracts and SLAs.
- Strong commercial judgement, negotiation and stakeholder-management capability.
- An understanding of contract law, compliance, governance and risk.
- The ability to interpret performance and financial data and turn it into action.
- A proactive style with equal attention to the wider commercial outcome and contractual detail.
