Operations Coordinator

Malaga | $80,000 – $90,000 | Full-Time Permanent An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join a growing Australian business servicing the commercial and mining sectors.

Based in Malaga, this is a busy, hands-on coordination role where you’ll work closely with the Project Manager and Operations team to coordinate projects from initial preparation and mobilisation through to completion.

If you enjoy keeping projects moving, coordinating people and resources, dealing with clients and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this could be an excellent next step.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Coordinating project preparation, planning and execution
- Scheduling works and ensuring the right resources are available
- Coordinating plant, equipment and personnel
- Managing pre-mobilisation requirements and project administration
- Liaising with production, administration and QHSE teams
- Attending project handover meetings
- Maintaining accurate project schedules
- Preparing and submitting client documentation and managing client portals
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout projects
- Providing regular updates to Project and Operations Managers
- Supporting the Operations Supervisor with day-to-day requirements




- Ensuring project documentation is complete and correctly maintained at project close-out

About You

We’re looking for someone who has worked in a similar operations, project coordination or project administration environment and is comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

You’ll ideally bring

- Strong organisation and coordination skills
- Experience working within a fast-paced project environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing directly with clients
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work autonomously while also being part of a wider team
- Ability to interpret drawings and written specifications
- SimPRO experience highly regarded
- Exposure to construction, mining services, manufacturing, fencing or a similar project-based industry advantageous

Direct commercial security fencing experience is not essential, although it will be viewed favourably.
