The Role Reporting to the Managing Director and leading the Operations and Scheduling functions, you will take full ownership of day to day delivery across a high volume, fast paced operation. With 50 to 200 projects live at any one time and a large casual, field based workforce delivering across Main Roads WA, building, utility, civil and event projects, this is a role for a decisive operational leader; one skilled at ensuring many moving parts run cleanly and astute with the right judgement calls,



thus reducing day to day operational problem solving reaching senior management. Specifically, you will:

- Oversee Operations & Scheduling, ensuring accurate resourcing and potential errors are caught and resolved early
- Own the resource and docket process so paperwork is completed, tracked and reconciled, and billable work is always accounted for
- Hold Operations, Scheduling, Supervisors and staff accountable for performance, process and outcomes, partnering with HR on conduct, attendance and staffing issues
- Look after key clients operationally, spotting and resolving concerns before they escalate
- Identify recurring operational failures and implement practical prevention systems
- Coordinate accurate information workflows across HR, Finance, Operations and Scheduling
- Resolve day to day issues independently, escalating only major commercial, client, safety or employment matters
- Report and review collaboratively with senior management on operational performance, risks, staffing and resources
- Travel occasionally to Kalgoorlie to meet clients & represent the business at regional events
- Need to be available on occasion afterhours or weekends i.e. in an emergency or incident that requires escalation





About you You are an experienced leader with 5 to 10 years in senior coordination or operations management, ideally gained from within traffic management; however, strong operators from civil construction, logistics, transport, utilities or field services are also encouraged to apply. Additionally, you are:

- Experienced at coordinating 100 to 250+ employees, crews or contractors in a fast moving, multi site, deadline driven environment
- Good at process review and refinement, creating efficiencies
- Commercially aware; you understand that missing dockets, poor resource allocation, overtime and operational errors impact the bottom line
- Cool headed under pressure; guide teams through competing priorities whilst keeping working relationships strong
- Accountable, take ownership and confidently make decisions
- Knowledgeable around relevant WA traffic management & construction industry laws, guidelines and regulations or the self direction to research and learn
