The Role

Agri Labour Australia is seeking reliable and hardworking Orchard Workers for the upcoming thinning and harvest season in Shepparton, VIC. Working within the horticulture and fruit-growing industry, you will join a busy, team-focused orchard environment. This hands-on outdoor role offers consistent seasonal work, with the opportunity to move from fruit thinning directly into harvest activities across nectarine, apricot and apple crops.

Key Responsibilities

You will support orchard production throughout the thinning and harvest season, helping maintain fruit quality and meet daily production targets. The role involves physical outdoor work, careful fruit handling and close teamwork.

- Thin nectarines, apricots and apple crops as required
- Harvest fruit in line with quality and productivity standards
- Sort and handle fruit carefully to minimise damage
- Inspect fruit and remove unsuitable produce where required
- Complete general orchard maintenance and seasonal duties
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets
- Maintain clean and organised work areas
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members




- Assist with other orchard duties as required throughout the season

Perks

- Competitive $33.05 per hour penalty rates
- 4 months of seasonal employment
- Approximately 45 hours per week, subject to seasonal requirements

Your Skills & Experience

- Previous fruit thinning and picking experience desirable
- Physically fit and able to complete repetitive outdoor work

- Ability to follow instructions and meet quality standards
