Data Center - Critical Operations Supervisor - ELECTRICAL

Summary/Objective

The Critical Operations Supervisor - Electrical provides day-to-day operational leadership and technical governance to ensure the safe, compliant and reliable performance of all site electrical infrastructure. This Monday-Friday role is accountable for overseeing electrical operations, coordinating major works and maintaining regulatory and contractual compliance.

The position participates in a rotating on-call roster to provide after-hours escalation, ensuring timely response to electrical incidents or abnormal conditions. The Supervisor leads the Electrical workstream across all shift teams, providing expert escalation for complex electrical issues and coordinating key activities such as planned shutdowns, switching operations, fault response, energisation and de-energisation activities, and return-to-service (RTS) validation.

This role ensures that all electrical training, competency and authorisation requirements are met and maintained. The Supervisor works closely with site stakeholders to uplift procedures, strengthen electrical safety practices, enhance plant performance and continuously improve operational readiness across the facility.

This role directly supports STACK’s commitment to 100% uptime and a concierge-level customer service experience, ensuring risk is proactively managed, planned works are executed safely, and customer communications are clear, timely and professional.





Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership across the site electrical workstream.

- Maintain oversight of HV and LV electrical systems and operational risk.

- Act as the primary electrical escalation point for shift teams.

- Coordinate shutdowns, switching, fault response, maintenance and energisation activities.

- Provide technical direction during planned works, testing and return-to-service.

- Review switching plans, risk assessments, permits, isolations and LOTO controls.

- Verify system readiness, redundancy and load paths following work or changes.

- Act as incident manager for electrical events when required.

- Coordinate electrical vendors and verify correct post-work configuration.

- Identify recurring faults, capacity constraints and systemic design risks.

- Drive improvement of electrical SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, CMMS data and handovers.

- Coach technical teams and strengthen electrical capability and authorisation.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll bring advanced electrical operational judgement, strong technical credibility and confidence leading teams through complex operational events.

You’ll bring:

- An A-Grade Electrical Licence or relevant electrical engineering qualification.





- Extensive Data Centre or Mission Critical experience.

- Strong knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs/PMMs, ATS/STS and controls.

- Experience operating and stabilising critical electrical plant.

- Strong understanding of switching operations, protection behaviour and redundancy.

- Experience reviewing MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, risk assessments and commissioning documentation.

- Ability to interpret SLDs, network diagrams, automation logic and OEM manuals.

- Proficiency with BMS/EPMS, CMMS and operational data platforms.

- Robust incident leadership, coaching and technical communication skills.

- Knowledge of permit-to-work, isolations/LOTO and operational risk frameworks.

- Ability to work Monday-Friday with rotating on-call requirements.

- Legal entitlement to work in Australia and ability to meet site security requirements.
