About The Role:

Beyond signs, lines and parking controls lies the opportunity to make a real difference to how our community experiences our city.

In this role, you'll investigate parking and road safety issues, lead parking studies, engage with the community and provide expert advice on matters that affect residents, businesses and visitors every day. Working closely with residents, businesses, Elected Members and internal stakeholders, you'll help balance community needs, accessibility, safety and legislative requirements to deliver practical, community-focused outcomes.

You'll bring

- Experience in parking management, traffic management, investigations, compliance, regulatory services or a related field.




- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, standards, by-laws and policies relating to parking and road safety.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and report-writing skills.
- The ability to investigate complex issues, analyse information and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations.
- The judgement to balance legislative requirements, road safety, accessibility and community expectations to achieve positive community outcomes.
- A demonstrated commitment to customer service and constructive engagement with the community and stakeholders.
- The ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism, sound judgement and discretion.
- Relevant qualifications in Traffic Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.

About Our Team The Community Safety Team is focused on adopting a proactive and contemporary approach to effectively deliver a broad range of regulatory related activities while ensuring a positive customer experience. Actively engaged within the community, the team builds robust relationships with key stakeholders and customers by offering accurate information and guidance to support compliance with legislative requirements.

The Details The position is offered on a full‑time, 12-month fixed-term contract and is classified at Level 5, with a salary range of $106,912 to $111,513 per annum + Super + Annual Leave Loading.

The position is identified as a prescribed position and therefore requires the successful candidate to maintain a current unprohibited National Police Clearance for Regulatory Requirements.
