About the role The role of Program Coordinator is a senior leadership position reporting to the Director. The position will oversee all staff and the day-to-day operation of the business. You will coordinate programs from the time students step off the bus until they re-board to head home.

This will encompass controlling the dining room for meals and directing students from a central location to their activities. During activity time, you will check in with instructors and teachers at each activity to ensure it is running effectively.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all staff and day-to-day operation of the business
- Coordinate programs and control the dining room for meals
- Direct students from a central location to their activities
- Check in with instructors and teachers at each activity to ensure effective operation
- Facilitate a range of activities including high ropes, rock climbing, canoeing and surf
- Liaise with the school camp coordinator to write the program and communicate this information to the hosting centre
- Allocate staff to camps and be responsible for all logistics throughout each camp
- Train current staff





About you

- Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation or Education, TAFE, University or equivalent recognised qualifications
- At least 5 years industry experience
- Qualified in canoeing, rock climbing, high ropes and surf as a minimum
- Abseiling qualification is advantageous
- Current first aid certification
- Working with children blue card
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills to deal with staff

Current camp activities include fishing in tinnies, canoeing, raft building, stand up paddle boarding, high ropes, mid ropes, low ropes, giant swing, abseiling, rock climbing, leap of faith, pamper pole, milk crate climb, archery gameplay, bush craft, survival skills, body boarding, beach games and team building initiatives.

In 2027, we will also offer canoe expedition camps on the upper reaches of the Brisbane River.
